About Laura

I’m a native Spanish speaker from Barcelona, Spain, with four years of teaching experience. I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting and I am an accredited DELE examiner for levels B1–B2 and C1–C2.

Languages have always been an important part of my life. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English and German and can provide support in English or German when needed. Having lived in different countries, I have first-hand experience of both the challenges and rewards of learning a foreign language. I love travelling, discovering new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds.

As a teacher, I am supportive, approachable and adaptable. I take my students’ goals seriously, but I also believe lessons should be engaging and enjoyable, so I like using a variety of activities and materials to keep them dynamic and motivating.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals and exam requirements. I specialise in GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and DELE Spanish exam preparation, helping students develop their speaking, writing, reading and listening skills as well as grammar, vocabulary and exam technique.

I follow a communicative, student-centred approach while maintaining a clear focus on exam requirements. As a native Spanish speaker, qualified Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher and accredited DELE examiner with four years of teaching experience, I provide structured and personalised support to help students build confidence and achieve their best possible results.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although the length can be adjusted by agreement depending on the student’s needs and schedule. I also offer a free 30-minute first session to discuss your current level, goals, exam board and areas for improvement and establish a personalised preparation plan.

I’ve known Laura since January 2026 and have been taking weekly lessons with her ever since. Her lessons are always engaging, and you can tell she puts a lot of thought and care into preparing them, she adapts each lesson to my needs and goals.
She’s genuinely one of the best teachers I’ve had, and I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor who is attentive, well prepared, and truly committed to helping her students improve :)

I have been learning Spanish with Laura for three years now at the B2/C1 level and can clearly recommend her as a professor. Laura has clear ideas and a schedule on how to help you individually improve your Spanish, but she is also very flexible and responds to your individual needs and requests. We have always conducted our classes as a good mix of conversation, formal grammar exercises, but also song text analyses, etc. She is very reliable, always on time, and never cancels scheduled classes. Laura tailors the classes very individually to your needs.
