About Carmen
Hello, I’m Carmen. I hold degrees in Translation and Interpreting (Spanish, English, and German) as well as in English Studies. I offer Spanish lessons for all levels, and I can conduct the class in English if the student is not yet comfortable with Spanish. My lessons are tailored to your needs, pace, and goals, whether you want to start from scratch, improve conversation, grammar, or prepare for exams. In my classes, I aim to make learning dynamic, motivating, and, above all, an enjoyable experience. For me, learning languages has always been a way to open doors and discover new cultures, and that is the perspective I convey to my students. I focus especially on speaking and conversation, because I believe that many teachers often concentrate solely on grammar and written exercises, leaving real communication aside. For me, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills are an essential foundation, but they should always converge towards oral practice and the ability to communicate naturally. My classes integrate all these aspects in a balanced way, so that students can improve in every area while gaining fluency and confidence when speaking.

As a native Spanish speaker, I believe I can bring great value to those who want to improve their fluency and confidence when expressing themselves in Spanish. Conversation and speaking skills are often the most challenging aspects of language learning, and at the same time, the ones that receive the least attention. For this reason, my classes place a strong emphasis on communicative practice and real-life situations that allow students to express themselves naturally. That said, I also work comprehensively on all language skills: grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and writing, in addition to speaking. This way, students achieve a complete and well-balanced learning experience, always tailored to their goals and to the language they wish to learn or improve. My methodology is flexible and fully personalised. Depending on the student’s level and objectives, I structure the sessions differently: from basic exercises for beginners to advanced conversations or written refinement, whether in Spanish or English, for those who want to take their language skills to the next level. My goal is to make every class useful, motivating, and dynamic so that students feel comfortable, learn at their own pace, and most importantly, enjoy the process of learning Spanish.
