I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia and a third-year student at UBC studying Psychology and Fine Arts, with a strong academic record. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy helping others learn in a way that feels clear, supportive, and enjoyable.
I have experience working with students through mentoring and informal teaching support, which has helped me develop patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. My teaching approach is interactive, supportive, and fully adapted to each student’s goals and level. As a native Spanish speaker from Colombia and a UBC student, I focus on helping students build real confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Spanish through clear explanations and practical conversation.
A typical lesson includes reviewing key vocabulary or grammar concepts, followed by guided practice and interactive exercises to reinforce understanding. I also emphasize real-life conversation so students can use Spanish naturally and confidently outside of lessons.
What sets me apart is my patient, step-by-step teaching style and my ability to make learning feel approachable and stress-free. I understand that each student learns differently, so I adjust my methods to suit their pace and needs.
