About Cathy
I am currently a university student majoring in Japanese and minoring in linguistics. I really enjoy teaching foreign languages and studying how to teach them. Growing up in a high-pressure Asian family environment, I absolutely hated learning foreign languages as a child. However, when I started self-studying Japanese, I discovered that learning a foreign language can actually be quite enjoyable. In fact, I am planning to continue study Japanese even after graduating from university. Since then, I’ve come to believe that any subject that people dislike is a result of poor teaching methods. Now, I hope to help you feel happy and comfortable while learning a foreign language, and to show you that, hey, Chinese can actually be quite interesting.

When solving problems, I would like to derive answers by encouraging students to think independently. When we are having a fun talk, I encourage students to express their opinions freely in Mandarin, creating a low-pressure environment. And please don’t be sorry when asking the same questions, because I will be answering it every time, no matter how many times.
