About Owen
As an international student and native Mandarin speaker, I bring both passion and flexibility to my tutoring. I offer a flexible, student-centered approach to Mandarin tutoring, focusing on each student's unique goals and interests. My method is highly adaptable, allowing students to choose topics or skills they want to emphasize—whether that’s conversational Mandarin, reading comprehension, or writing. Lesson Structure: Each session is typically one hour, but I’m open to adjusting the length based on student preference. I provide supportive, interactive lessons, encouraging students to practice real-life language use in a relaxed setting. Qualifications and Experience: Though I am new to formal tutoring, I bring practical experience from my time volunteering as a language teacher for elementary school students in Taiwan, where I developed strong skills in engaging and motivating young learners. My native Mandarin proficiency and understanding of language learning make me well-equipped to support students of various levels. Who the Lessons Are For: My lessons are suitable for all ages and levels, from young beginners to adult learners interested in enhancing their Mandarin for personal, academic, or professional purposes.
