About Julie

I am a native Mandarin (Chinese) teacher with over 20 years experience. I have taught Mandarin in Taiwanese national schools, where I am originally from, as well as in a South Africa at private Chinese school. Furthermore, for over 10 years I have also tutored students privately.

The ages of the students that I have taught students range from as young as 12 years old although assisting university level students. Furthermore, I have tutored adult learners.

My qualifications include Teacher's Training, Bachelors and Master levels from Taiwan. Furthermore, I have an Honours degree as well as qualified teacher status from South Africa.

Being a native speaker but now living in an English speaking country gives me an advantage in teaching students to learn a new difficult language. I understand the pitfalls in my own experience and can help language learners avoid these too!

- Soochow University Taiwan - Bachelor of Arts - Chinese Literature
- UNISA - PGCE
