About Umberta
I am an Italian actress with a BA in Anthropology and a MA in Management of Artistic and Cultural Resources. I started teaching Italian during my Erasmus studies in Toulouse and then I taught Italian to some American actors during their journey in Rome. Furthermore, I collaborated with an association in Rome as a volunteer teaching Italian to Refugees and immigrants. Since January 2019 I've been collaborating with Supershool in Rome as an Italian and French Teacher. Since I am an actress I can speak and teach Italian correct pronunciation (Dizione) but I also explore with my students the different dialects and accents we have in Italy.

I usually create a learning path with the student in order to personalise the lessons according to his/her specific needs. The classes will be balanced: We will explore grammar, conversation, oral and written understanding and pronunciation as well as a bit of Italian Culture in order to better understand our regional specificities.

Umberta is an amazing person, she has this great and rare capacity of empathy which is essential to teach in the best possible way. When a student needs a specific help and support, she is accurate in her approach to help him to fill his own grammatical or expression's gaps and also, because she is also an actress she helps to have the right self confidence in conversation practice.
Umberta is a bright, enthusiastic teacher who is proficient in three languages; English, French and her native Italian. She brings her passion of languages to her teaching in such a way that the student will undoubtedly be enthusiastic and inspired to learn.
