About Alexis Vanja
Halo! I'm an art student studying illustration, a native Indonesian speaker, and someone who loves helping others improve their language skills. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident as you practice Indonesian. Please think of me less as a traditional tutor and more as a friend you can chat with! I am also fluent in English, so you won’t have to worry about misunderstandings during our lessons. I can explain things clearly in both languages, which makes learning more efficient and comfortable. Whether you're stuck on a word or need clarification, I’m here to help you with no language barriers! While I don't have formal teaching credentials, I grew up in Indonesia and have a deep understanding of the language and culture. I hope to provide insights and share experience that go beyond what rigid textbooks offer! Let's make your language-learning journey fun, supportive, and rewarding :)

Hi! I'm a native Indonesian speaker who grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. If you already have some knowledge of Indonesian and want to refine your skills, I'm here to help you improve your conversational skills in a fun and engaging way!
My Teaching Method and Techniques:
I'm a firm believer that immersion is the best way to learn a language. As kids, we don't learn grammar structures and vocabulary from textbooks—we pick it up naturally by listening and being surrounded by the language. This is what I'd like to offer with my lessons: a natural and immersive environment where you can practice and grow your skills through real, everyday conversation.
- Conversational Focus: We'll have relaxed, real-life conversations using typical day-to-day language to improve your speaking and listening skills.
- Pronunciation Coaching: I'll guide you to sound more natural, focusing on proper intonation and accent.
