About Christoph
Hey I'm Christoph, 26, but feel free to call me Chris!
I graduated from the University of Applied Management in Mannheim, Germany, in autumn last year and moved to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa recently. I’m currently living with my family in Balwyn North and plan on staying for a while.
In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, going to the gym, hiking, and trying different Asian cuisines.
I’m an active and curious person who enjoys meeting new people from different cultures, which also shapes my approach to teaching, everyone is different!

I like to start by getting to know you as a learner: what you’ve studied so far? Where do you feel confident and what do you find challenging?
This helps me tailor each lesson to your level and goals.
My teaching style is interactive and focused on understanding how the language works. Rather than just explaining rules I will guide you to figure things out yourself so you can learn and apply the language.
A good way to describe it: when I learned the trumpet as a child, I could play the notes shown to me, but I didn’t really understand the instrument. I want to help you not just “follow instructions” but actually understand German as a language and use it independently.
