About Gianna
I was born and raised in Bonn, Germany. As I am half German and half Italian, I grew up bilingual and speak both languages fluently. My passion is travelling, which is what brought me to Australia. I am a very patient and easygoing person and in my free time I like to get crafty and artsy, do yoga, hang out with friends or meet new people.
With 7 years of experience in teaching all levels of German (A1-C1) - covering grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises - both in-person and online, I can confidently say that I possess the qualities of a skilled German teacher. While I may not hold a university degree in this field, I believe my extensive experience and the numerous happy and successful students I have had over the years speak for themselves.

In my teaching sessions, I place a strong emphasis on incorporating various key aspects such as grammar, reading, and speaking. With beginners, I strive to impart grammar quickly, even if it may seem mundane, as it forms the fundamental basis for learning to speak correctly.
I prefer working with a mix of diverse materials to keep the sessions lively and the topics contemporary and applicable to everyday life. Adapting to different materials allows for a dynamic and effective learning environment.
For advanced learners, I am happy to tailor the sessions to individual preferences. Whether it’s focusing predominantly on speaking, reading, or other specific areas, I structure the lessons to meet the students needs and provide an optimal learning experience.

Gianna is an excellent German professor. I continued learning from her for more than 2 years. She is very organized and considerate about your ability and weaknesses. She focuses on grammar, pronunciation and syntax. This helps to get the foundation right. Since she is multilingual, it helps to understand and discuss topics when you get stuck. I would highly recommend Gianna if you would like to learn German and more importantly, learn correct German.
