About Maëlle
I am a Native French student studying Political Science and International Development at McGill University. Through my studies, I have acquired significant knowledge of my discipline, which are subjects that I would be capable of teaching to younger students, especially those students who are interested or planning to pursue them in the future.
I would also be delighted to help primary or secondary school students with subjects such as Maths, French, English, or Humanities. I have various tutoring experiences that attest to my teaching capabilities. I tutored two middle school students in Maths, English, Humanities, and organisational skills on a weekly basis for two years (2015-17). During this time, I also volunteered to help refugee children with their homework every week for one year. Through these experiences, I have developed strong pedagogic skills which I hope to put to use again by tutoring.
Having lived abroad, far from my family, has allowed me to develop the qualities of independence, responsibility, and organisation. I am a positive person, eager to learn more and improve in the tasks I undertake. I am not only interested in learning more about the UK schooling system, but enthusiastic at the idea of hopefully getting to know and helping English students with their learning.

I believe the most effective way to help a student achieve greater results is to assist them in developing increased confidence in their subject.
I also hope to establish a friendly and productive study environment, where concepts are explained and broken down with clear and positive communication.
As I am observant and patient, I will listen to the student's needs and challenges in order to help him or her most effectively
