About Julien

My approach is based on building your confidence and providing you with the practical skills needed to succeed in your oral exam, written papers, and listening comprehension.

As a French native living in Ireland since 2005, I have a BA in French from Paris Nanterre University and a Graduate Diploma in Education from DCU.

With 20 years of experience teaching French in secondary schools, I have a deep understanding of the curriculum and exam expectations.

- Structured Learning: I provide you with a dedicated Google Classroom, complete with all the notes and resources you need.
- Weekly Practice: Get personalised home practice to reinforce your learning. I will correct it and give you feedback, so you know exactly where you stand.
- Proven Strategies: I will share useful tips and techniques to help you succeed in your exams.

Some testimonials from past students:

- Daniel: "Julien is an incredibly friendly French tutor who is an expert in the craft of teaching. I've been preparing for my Leaving Certificate French oral for the past seven weeks with him and I can say without a shred of doubt I've never felt more confident in speaking this language than I am after attending his lessons!"

- Sean: "I started french grinds with Julien just before the Christmas break and I can already see a huge improvement in my speaking skills and written ability, I wish started them earlier! The oral work at the beginning of each session really makes a difference with being more comfortable and confident when speaking. On top of that his notes and the websites he provides are extremely helpful. I could not recommend his classes more."

- Danielle: "Julien is incredibly helpful in all areas of the Leaving Cert french course. I could not have achieved my grade without him. Having a native french teacher is really beneficial for the oral. He always was very prepared and gave excellent notes. I definitely would recommend taking grinds with him."
