I encourage participation as much as possible to increase language confidence. I try to make the lessons fun and enganging by using materials on topics of interests (i.e. images, news articles, real-life situations, games and fun-filled exercises). The lessons also involve repetitions of sentences and dialogues techniques to learn good vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as a relaxed but steady (step-by-step) approach to recognize key language structure and rules.
I adapt the teaching method depending on the age, the level and what the student is looking for.
