About Sophie
I teach French in the secondary in the south of England. I grew up in the North of France and have lived in the UK since 2012.
I have been praised for the fun in bring in language learning and my enthusiasm for languages has been said to be contagious in the classroom! Songs, culture and history discussions, creative writing tasks and fun dialogues are some of my favourite strategies.
Based on feedback from my own pupils, I am kind, supportive, empathetic and funny.

As French teacher in the secondary, making language learning fun is key for me. My lessons are tailored to each individual's needs and I can support with vocabulary learning, pronunciation, reading, speaking, writing and even cultural points!
I have a proven track-record of developing vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, writing, reading and speaking skills and prepared pupils for foundation and higher French GCSE. I can also support pupils who need support in preparation for French A levels.
I offer lessons for students from Year 6 to Year 13.
