About Emily
I am currently a third year medical student in the UK. I grew up in China and England so I am fully fluent in Mandarin and English. I have taught Chinese to English students since 2016 for a few years and have helped Chinese students prepare for IELTS.
I have GCSE Chinese at A* grade and A level Chinese at A grade.

My teaching method is progressive. I believe a strong foundation in the basic principles underpinning language is essential, particularly grammar and pronunciation. I will layer on the different components of language learning, from reading, writing, listening and speaking, gradually in terms of difficulty and adapt a different teaching style and plan to every single student depending on their learning style, preference and level. I am friendly, patient and here to help you answer any questions about language learning, no matter how small!
