About Sahar
I have 3 years experience of teaching Arabic to people of all ages and skill levels at a Saturday school. I have taught classes of 20 pupils at a time, but have also tutored many students one-to-one. As a result of my tutoring students have vastly improved their comprehension and speaking skills.

Born and raised in Egypt, I am a friendly native Arabic speaker, with a great command of the language. I studied Natural Sciences at university in my home country, and upon moving to the UK, continued my academic journey by graduating from the Medway School of Pharmacy. I believe my story gives me a unique crossover of both sciences and languages, allowing me to tutor a diverse range of subjects. I teach Arabic to people of all proficiency levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers, and I am passionate about helping my students attain fluency and control over what I believe to be one of the most beautiful languages in the world! Arabic lessons are guided using exercises and worksheets, although video and audio are sometimes used as well, and for those more advanced speakers, there is some flexibility allowing them to shape their lessons. As well as being fluent in Arabic, my scientific background, as well as my degree in Pharmacy, provide me with an excellent basis of knowledge that enable me to teach both science and maths at a range of skill levels, for which I use the qualification guidelines.

Sahar is everything you could want in a tutor - patient, knowledgeable, dedicated - she takes time to explain complex rules slowly and makes sure you've understood them, before moving on to something else. Thanks to her, I went from not knowing how to say more than 'asalam alaikum', to now being able to have casual conversations in Arabic. She is a great tutor.
Sahar is the most hardworking person I know, and her dedication to teaching is exemplary.
