About Marize
With different degrees in the humanities, and a lifetime of close proximity to teaching and languages (my mother was an Afrikaans teacher) I come full circle in tutoring in my home language. I am a conversational tutor, focusing on the student's existing strengths as a foundation for learning.

I am a native Afrikaans speaker with a firm grasp on Afrikaans language, writing and literature. I am a master's student with a degree in Language and Culture. My approach is colloquial and relaxed. I wish to instil a genuine interest in languages in my students even if they do not feel they have natural talent therein.
