About Katherine
I’m a certified teacher with a master’s in elementary education and over 5 years of experience. I began my career working with primary students in public school and currently teach special education in a private school setting.
I’ve worked with students across a wide range of abilities—from general education to students with more significant disabilities—and I have experience supporting IEPs and 504 plans. I’ve also been tutoring throughout my entire teaching career, which has allowed me to work more closely with students and their individual learning needs.
I’m known for being patient, reliable, and supportive, and I always come prepared. My goal is not just to help students understand the material, but to help them feel more confident and comfortable while learning.

My lessons are always tailored to the individual learner while still aligning with state standards to ensure meaningful progress.
I have experience working with students with IEPs and 504 plans, and I’m comfortable adapting lessons to support a variety of learning styles and needs. I use a mix of hands-on activities, visual supports, and written practice to keep sessions engaging and effective.
Whether a student needs extra structure, a different approach, or just more time to build confidence, I adjust my teaching to meet them where they are and help them grow.
