About Antoine
My name is Antoine, I am 36 years old and I have been playing the piano and practicing music since the age of 10. I learned my instrument in a music school in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) and I passed all the diplomas up to DFE. After my baccalaureate I enrolled in the Faculty of Musicology in Tours (Indre et Loire) and I spent my DEUG there before continuing in Rennes (ille et vilaine) for the License and the Master by starting a thesis on Ennio Morricone, having always been passionate about film music. At the same time, I started playing the piano in a pizzeria on the Atlantic coast near Nantes as a "summer job". I then went to Paris in 2007 to enroll in EDIM (current music school), where I learned jazz and improvised music. I started working in Montmartre and in various other restaurants in Paris as a pianist around the same time. I now have a vast repertoire of very varied music ranging from great piano bar standards to Pink Floyd and Radiohead, including many pieces of jazz and bossanova. I have also participated in different groups of current music. I have a vast knowledge of the repertoire of current music due to my profession and I also offer an introduction to jazz and improvisation.

I have been a "Bar Pianist" and musician in groups for 15 years and I have a vast and varied repertoire (Satie, Mozart, Beethoven, Piaf, Ferré, Trenet, Brassens, Brel, Aznavour, Gainsbourg, Tiersen, The Doors , The Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Jazz and Bossa Repertoire Standards and many more). I adapt my methodology to each student according to the expectations and desires of each but I recommend a little theoretical work to accelerate the progression. I also offer an introduction to jazz and improvised music. I work with a Roland digital piano and I master several music creation software (LogicAudio, Cubase, GarageBand). I am based in the 19th arrondissement but I can easily move around Paris and its suburbs and offer my services at home.
