About Luke
I bought my first guitar when I was 15 years old from my best friend Pete and was lucky enough to be taught by him too. At 18 years of age, I enrolled in the school of Performing Arts and Music and after two years walked out with a Diploma and a mission to form the greatest metal band ever known! I spent my early 20s writing and performing music in the local scene in Christchurch and touring whenever possible. During these years I produced two albums with the band Jubaal – All Myths Aside and Lullaby. In 2007 I hung up my guitar and decided to start a career outside of music. Though not actively playing live music during this time, my companion and loyal guitar was never far from my side. As the years went by I always had a desire to return to the wonderful world of creativity, but this time to share my knowledge and experience with those who wish to learn.

My goal is to help you achieve whatever you desire on the electric guitar or acoustic guitar. I provide structured and progressive music sessions. You will walk away each week with homework (the fun kind) that will enable you to learn, understand and progress fast. I will teach you music theory and how it relates to the guitar (not as scary as it sounds). I provide a dedicated music studio space that will make you feel at home. Parents can grab a seat in a relaxing outdoor/indoor setup (and enjoy a cold/hot drink) while they wait for the lesson to end. :)
