About Shoko
I have been playing classical piano for over 20 years and teaching for 5 years. I attended the Junior Department of Royal College of Music for 7 years, and continued my musical journey at Royal Holloway University of London. My speciality is in Baroque music - I also have experience in performing, as well as working as a Church organist.

My lessons are for anyone who wants to learn piano and work towards exams, as well as people who want to learn for joy.
I generally work with the ABRSM but happy to work with other boards such as Trinity or MTB if requested.
For people who are interested in learning as a hobby, we can look at a piece of your choice. I can give you tips and practice methods.
If you're a complete beginner to piano, I can teach you how to read music, and basic piano technique.
If you want grade 5 theory lessons, I will provide you with notes with my own methods and worksheets to prepare you for the exam. I will mark papers and give you detailed feedback.
