About Laura
I have been teaching and tutoring for over 10 years, in the UK, Italy and Brazil.
I teach Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English as a Foreign Language.
I have experience teaching and tutoring for GCSEs, A-Level and the International Baccalaureate, with many of my students achieving high grades. I have also taught tailored business courses and prepared students when travelling to countries where these languages are spoken. My students have been of all ages - from 3 to 83!
My extensive travel in Europe and South America, including for work and study, means that I am able to offer a unique multicultural perspective, which will really bring these languages alive.

My teaching method is to tailor each lesson to my students' preferred learning style and language goals. I use flash cards, games, audiovisual and other online resources, including listening to native speakers. I focus on improving my student's accent, fluency and confidence, as well as giving them a solid foundation in grammar and vocabulary. Exercises involve all four of the key skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing. I aim to always inspire, engage and make lessons fun!

I've known Laura for a fair few years now. Laura has been teaching my son and daughter Spanish for around 7 years and is an excellent tutor. Very methodical in her approach to teaching, enthusiastic and dedicated. Our children really enjoy learning as Laura makes lessons great fun and very interesting. Great person, great tutor, very focused. I highly recommend Laura.
