About Gill
I've been teaching for 16 years (Rome,London) as a freelance tutor and as a Senior Tutor in a Language School. I specialise in Business English and have a varied portfolio of clients from diverse industries. I do each General English and tutor clients for exams. All lessons are specific to client needs. I am a relaxed teacher, able to motivate and build confidence in all communication skills for my students. Previous industry experience of 16 years (BBC) gave me valuable, transferrable skills that I incorporate in my lessons and dealings with clients.

I work with business professionals living and working in the UK (and abroad). From MEPS and Senior Managers to young professionals starting out in their careers or studying for exams to help them achieve university entrance. I teach mainly upper-intermediate to advanced (proficiency) but have also taught lower levels. Progress at any level is key and I strive to encourage my students to build confidence and motivation.
I design my own materials but also source lesson content from reliable teaching websites. Authentic, innovative and personalised content is paramount for me.
