About Liam
I have been teaching piano for over 9 years, and music has played a meaningful role throughout my life. My journey began with childhood lessons that sparked a lasting connection to the instrument, eventually inspiring me to teach and share that joy with others. Helping students discover their talent, overcome challenges, and enjoy the beauty of music continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my career. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and balanced between structure and artistic expression. I tailor each lesson to a student’s personality, abilities, and goals, ensuring they feel supported and motivated. I believe in nurturing confidence while gently guiding students to stretch their abilities, explore creativity, and develop independence as musicians. Outside of teaching, I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing study, performance, and collaboration with other musicians. I enjoy learning new repertoire and exploring new teaching methods to keep lessons fresh and inspiring. Teaching piano is not just a profession—it is a fulfilling way to make a positive impact through music and support students in developing a lifelong passion for the art.

My piano lessons aim to help students develop both technical skill and artistic expression, making learning both structured and creatively fulfilling. I cultivate an encouraging space where learners feel inspired to explore the instrument, develop musical sensitivity, and express emotion through performance. Lessons include technique, posture, sight-reading, repertoire, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance guidance to create a strong musical foundation.
I teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, each with a tailored approach. Beginners focus on note recognition, hand coordination, rhythm, foundational exercises, and simple pieces that encourage confidence. Intermediate students expand repertoire, refine technique, learn expressive phrasing, build stronger theory knowledge, and improve fluency. Advanced learners focus on interpretation, complex compositions, stylistic refinement, and performance readiness. My lessons blend discipline and creativity, helping students develop skill and passion simultaneously.
Students finish lessons with greater confidence, improved musicality, and a deeper appreciation for piano. Beyond learning pieces, I aim to foster creativity, self-expression, discipline, and emotional connection to music. I guide each student to grow at their own pace while feeling proud of their progress and motivated to continue their musical journey.
