About Omar
I am a master's student at Monash university. I have a Bachelor of Arts with a double major of Political Science and Journalism. I have worked as a translator form Arabic to English for an online newspaper in Paris. I was recently working in communication and advocacy with an International organization in their office in Cairo. My role included different means of communication in both English and Arabic. I was also part of a volunteering program in which I taught refugees English language.

I usually tend to use the discussion method in most of my classes which involves two-way communication between participants and myself. I make sure that I am not the only one talking; therefore, I spend some time listening to my participants talking. I believe this is a more effective, modern method of learning.
