About Cherica Felize
Im currently taking my MS in Molecular Biology at UQ. As a student, I've always excelled academically--which I'd consider as my only talent. I finished my undergrad degree with honours. I have also experienced studying in two other countries (South Korea, and Philippines) which both expanded my knowledge in the subject and made me an adaptable learner and teacher. As for my experience in teaching, I have been a tutor both professionally (being hired as a private tutor) and nonprofessionally (as the tutor of my peers during exam period).

To excel in a complex subject such as molecular biology or any of the biological sciences, I ensure that my student obtains a good balance of knowledge of the technical terms and the understanding of concepts underlying the whole system. In order to achieve this, I first assess my student's background and capabilities. I then adjust to my student's needs accordingly. I focus on making my lessons simple, fun, and easy to grasp. I try to give real life examples to make things easier to understand, more logical, and interesting. I also like giving practice sets to track my student's progress.
