About Parvathi
I've framed my course structure differently for children and adults and teach them accordingly. A typical class begins with warm up, Meyvazhakkam, followed by a set of basic steps in the repertoire, Hastas lessons from Hastalakshanadeepika and cooling down exercises.
Having had training for Navarasas and Indian theatre, I have also included Indian theatre aspects to approach and learn Abhinaya.
The course will be for two hours in a week depending on the level and for students of age 13 and above, irrespective of gender or any prior experience.

I am a Mohiniyattam artist, disciple of Smt. Vinaya Narayanan following Guru Padmashri Bharati Shivaji’s repertoire of Mohiniyattam.
With over a decade of experience in this sector, I have taught and performed the dance form in different capacities in India and now in Dublin.
I am currently exploring facets of Mohiniyattam that intersects with theatre, and am deeply engaged in developing an inclusive pedagogy for Mohiniyattam training in Ireland.
