About Elizabeth
My name is Elizabeth, and I am currently an undergraduate student at MIT studying aerospace engineering. I am passionate about learning, building things, physics, math, and helping others. Collaboration, support, and communication in problems solving and learning are very important to me, and I tutor so that everyone can feel accomplished in what they work for.
I have tutored high school and middle school students both online and in person in calculus, precalculus, algebra, and chemistry for the past four years, and during my senior year of high school I worked as a chemistry teaching assistant, preparing and helping students with labs. I am very familiar with high school math and science content, including AP courses.

Every student is unique, so I make sure to truly get to know them and meet their individual needs. My lessons go at their pace; I take the time to walk through complex problems and ensure the students grasp each concept before moving forward. My main job is to build confidence on top of learning, always being supportive and encouraging. I always encourage the students to challenge themselves, with them taking active roles in discovering concepts through problem solving and experimentation. The goal is to achieve deep understanding, not just memorization, while always promoting questions and curiosity. My lessons are tailorable to a wide range of levels from elementary through high school.
