About Lisa george
Hello! My name is Lisa, and I am a friendly and passionate Swahili teacher. I enjoy helping people from different countries learn Swahili in a simple, comfortable, and enjoyable way. My goal is to help you become confident when speaking, understanding, reading, and using Swahili in everyday situations.
Swahili is a beautiful language spoken in many parts of East Africa, including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and other countries. I would love to help you discover this language and understand the culture behind it. Whether you are a complete beginner or already know some Swahili, I can help you improve step by step.
In my lessons, we can practice useful words and phrases, greetings, introductions, numbers, pronunciation, everyday conversations, and common expressions. We can also practice how to communicate naturally in different situations, such as meeting new people, traveling, shopping, asking for directions, talking with friends, or having simple conversations.
I believe that learning a language should not feel difficult or stressful. That is why I like to create friendly and relaxed lessons where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace. Mistakes are a normal part of learning, and every mistake gives us an opportunity to improve.
If you are learning Swahili for travel, work, friendship, culture, communication, or personal interest, I am happy to support you. We can focus our lessons on the areas that are most important to you. If your goal is speaking, we can spend more time practicing conversations. If you want to improve vocabulary or pronunciation, we can focus on those areas as well.
I also enjoy introducing learners to everyday Swahili rather than only teaching difficult textbook language. I want you to learn expressions that people actually use in real conversations. We can practice short dialogues and useful sentences so that you can gradually feel more comfortable communicating in Swahili.
As your teacher, I will encourage you to participate actively during our lessons. I can explain new words and sentences clearly, give you examples, correct your mistakes kindly, and help you build your confidence step by step.
You do not need to know Swahili before starting. Beginners are very welcome. We can start with the basics and gradually move to more advanced conversations as your skills improve. If you already speak some Swahili, we can work together to improve your vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and speaking fluency.
I am excited to meet learners from different backgrounds and help them discover the beauty of Swahili. Learning a new language can open the door to new friendships, cultures, experiences, and opportunities.
