About Ian
I am an Excel tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience, working with High School and College students from different learning backgrounds. I have successfully guided around 250 students to improve their spreadsheet skills, complete assignments, and prepare for exams and jobs. My teaching philosophy is simple: learn by doing with clear steps and real examples. I focus on formulae, data handling, charts, and practical projects. I believe in patience, motivation, and adapting lessons to each student’s pace. Many of my students have gained confidence, improved grades, and developed strong practical Excel skills for academic and career success.

My teaching approach for Excel is practical, flexible, and student-focused. I adapt lessons to each learner’s style and pace, using simple steps and real examples. I teach formulae, functions, data analysis, charts, dashboards, spreadsheets, and basic automation. I also connect Excel with PowerPoint, Word, report writing, and note preparation for academic and job use. I motivate students with small goals and hands-on tasks so they build confidence. I stay patient and empathetic, encouraging questions and mistakes as part of learning. My sessions include assignments, projects, and problem-solving practice to prepare students for exams, daily tasks, and future careers.
