Hello! I’m Melanie, an educator with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience in the creative arts and digital media as a college professor. Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for excellence in teaching, including being a 3-time recipient of the Professor of the Year Award, reflecting my commitment to helping students grow their skills and achieve their goals.
I specialize in graphic design, video editing and production, illustration, and web design and development, guiding students from foundational techniques to advanced projects. My teaching approach is hands-on and student-focused, combining clear instruction with practical projects to foster both technical skill and creative confidence. I tailor lessons to each learner’s goals, making the process engaging, structured, and results-driven.
I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your goals and determine how best to support your learning. I also ask for a 2-hour cancellation notice to ensure scheduling works smoothly for everyone. Before starting lessons, I send a reminder email outlining policies and expectations to set us up for success.
