About Annabelle
Hi I'm Annabelle, I am a fourth-year medical student at UNSW Sydney offering tuition for high school subjects, including ATAR, through Microsoft Teams. I graduated from Perth Modern School in 2021 with an ATAR of 99.75 and a General Exhibition. My ATAR subjects were: English Literature (93.5) Math Methods (93) Chemistry (91.1) Modern History (88.8) Human Biology (82.6) Math Specialist (81.3) I have over three years of tutoring experience teaching both WACE ATAR subjects and year 7-10 subjects. During these three years, I have helped students successfully increase their class averages by over 20% and had students successfully apply for Medical courses. My other academic achievements during year 11 and 12 include: Australian Mathematics Competition Distinction (2021) RACI International Chemistry Quiz Distinction (2021) Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

As I tutor I focus on maintaining an interactive teaching style which increases your confidence in the subject you are learning. Often a model for a tutoring session will follow the following framework:
1) Discuss your understanding of the topic to identify strengths and weaknesses.
2) Teaching any missing knowledge.
3) Answering practice questions on difficult components in the topic.
Whilst this is a standard model I will also:
- Work through exemplar texts or answers to discuss which attributes gain the most marks.
- Work through marking keys to maximise the marks you are getting for each question.
- Complete practice tests and exams with you (under timed conditions)
- Teach general study skills and exam techniques.
