About Jeff
I am a medical student at Michigan State University. I went to the University of Michigan for undergrad, where I graduated with honors in Biomolecular science. I tutored independently as well as for U of M for 3 years, and I was a TA for their chemistry department for 3 years. After graduating I continued to tutor and published an organic chemistry practice booklet. I have taught hundreds of students and have helped them turn their grades around in very challenging pre-health coursework, which is where I get my inspiration for tutoring.

As a medical student, I have spent most of my time working with premedical students in both undergrad and high school. My approach is to discuss the concepts that the student is having trouble with, expecting them to have taken some amount of time with the material to see what doesn't seem to stick. In this way, we may target those more-challenging concepts thoroughly and make the most of every minute of our time working together. My technique is to teach and explain the material to those who find that helpful, often generating notes for them as we go, and/or to walk through homework/practice problems with those who learn better that way. I focus on guiding the student and their train of thought as opposed to just giving the answer right away.

I do not have a cancellation policy. I just ask that you please be considerate and respectful of my time, as I will do my very best to do that same for you. If there is an issue, I will try to discuss it with you and hopefully we can come to an agreement together. In the worst-case scenario, I may ask to discontinue our arrangement and refund any money for prepaid sessions (but I have never had this problem, and I hope to keep it that way).
