I understand firsthand how challenging studying can be — especially when you’re working towards big goals like getting into medical school. My experience has taught me that learning isn’t just about memorising information — it’s about understanding concepts deeply, building confidence, and finding what study methods work best for you. That’s the approach I bring to my tutoring: patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I’m passionate about helping young people discover their potential and develop a genuine interest in learning. I believe that effective tutoring is centred on understanding each student’s unique learning style and building their confidence as much as their knowledge. I often start with a short diagnostic or conversation to assess the student’s current understanding, then tailor each lesson to address specific gaps. I integrate real-world examples, visual aids, and active learning techniques (like problem-solving exercises or mini quizzes) to reinforce key concepts. I also encourage students to explain concepts back to me — a powerful way to ensure true understanding. Most lessons last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and attention span. For younger learners or intensive exam preparation, I may recommend shorter, more frequent sessions to maintain focus and consistency. I am a first-year medical student and have over three years of experience tutoring secondary school students. I’ve worked with students across various levels and have helped many improve their grades, exam results, and overall confidence. I teach Mathematics and Biology, to students aged 12-18 or students in secondary school or college.
