About Sophie
I'm currently a medical student at Université de Sherbrooke. I graduated the French high school Jean-de-Brébeuf in IB and pursued cégep at Marianopolis in Honours Health Sciences. Outside of academics, I like to swim and listen to podcasts. I've started tutoring in high school. In cégep, I tutored in my school and worked with many students in math, physics, and chemistry after receiving a recommendation from my physics professor. I've helped many students improve their grades and, for many, motivated them to learn concepts that may seem dull at first. My experience extends to working with students with difficulties to others who wanted to learn in advance. If needed, I can also help with essays in English or Humanities. I hope to inspire confidence in my students by making difficult concepts easy to understand. I'm very fast with replies to texts or emails and will help you even when you're a little last minute! ;)

I believe in tailoring lessons to each student and pay particular attention to their needs. My students take the lead in the way we structure the lessons and I suggest additional plans when necessary. I take the time to analyze what they're struggling with by looking at past exams and mistakes. With me, my students not only learn the required material but also acquire helpful studying methods that will help them in their future studies. As a fellow student, I like to point out common mistakes and teach tips and tricks that have helped me succeed. I'm very flexible and can accommodate lessons according to what is needed. I'm very comfortable with all high school levels, and can also help with high school entrance exam preparation or first-year STEM classes in CEGEP. Lessons can be in English or French.
