About Tammy
I am a fourth-year medical student with extensive academic and tutoring experience. Throughout my education, I have worked with students at the high school, college, and graduate levels, including students preparing for the GED. I understand that every student learns differently, and I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging material.
My own academic journey has required strong reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills, and I enjoy helping students develop those same skills. I am patient, dependable, and committed to helping each student make meaningful progress toward their individual academic goals.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s goals, learning style, and current skill level. I have experience tutoring high school, college, and graduate students, as well as students preparing for the GED. I have helped students successfully pass courses, strengthen their reading and writing skills, and build confidence in areas they previously found challenging.
My lessons are interactive and student-centered. We can work on reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, academic writing, homework assignments, exam preparation, or other areas where additional support is needed. I focus on breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps and making sure students understand the reasoning behind what they are learning rather than simply memorizing information.
Whether you need ongoing academic support, help preparing for an exam, or guidance on a specific assignment, I will meet you at your current level and develop lessons around what will help you succeed.

Tammy tutored me during my accelerated nursing program last summer. My schedule was crazy, but she always made herself available to work with me. She truly went above and beyond! She introduced me to Anki and even took the time to make personalized Anki decks to help me study. She would also check in with me throughout the week to see how studying was going and if there was anything I needed help with.
Tammy has a way of breaking down complex topics. Before working with her, I hated microbio and couldn't imagine finding a way to get all that info into my head but her real world examples really made learning the material less intimidating. She’s also funny and would come up with silly acronyms and memory tricks that actually made the material stick. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed.
