About Ashutosh (Ash)
Hello! I’m Ash, an experienced science educator with a strong academic and professional background in science, medicine, healthcare and clinical research.
I hold a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree and a medical degree (M.D.). My education has provided me with a strong foundation in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, as well as their applications in the health sciences.
I also have Canadian college teaching experience, including teaching Anatomy and Physiology to students preparing for healthcare careers. In addition to teaching, my professional background includes healthcare and clinical research, which allows me to connect scientific concepts with practical, biological and medical applications.
I am a patient, approachable and supportive educator. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to understand the reasoning behind a concept rather than simply memorize information.
I enjoy working with students at different learning levels and adapting my explanations to their individual needs. My goal as an educator is not only to help students improve their academic performance, but also to develop their confidence, scientific thinking and ability to learn independently.

My Chemistry lessons are personalized, concept-based and problem-solving focused. Rather than simply memorizing formulas and reactions, students learn the reasoning behind chemical concepts and how to apply them confidently to questions and problems.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals, current understanding and areas of difficulty. I then explain the concept step by step using diagrams, worked examples, analogies and real-world applications. We work through problems together before the student attempts practice questions independently. I use these questions to identify gaps in understanding and reinforce important concepts.
For Ontario high-school students, I provide support for Grade 11 and Grade 12 Chemistry, including SCH3U, SCH3C, SCH4U and SCH4C, with help in concept review, problem solving, assignments, test preparation and exam preparation.
Depending on the student’s course and needs, lessons may cover topics such as atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, molecular structure, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, solutions, acids and bases, equilibrium, thermochemistry, electrochemistry and introductory organic chemistry.
I also support appropriate college and health-science students with foundational Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, particularly where these subjects connect with biological and health sciences.
Every student learns differently, so lessons are adjusted to the student’s pace and learning needs. My goal is to make Chemistry clearer, more logical and less intimidating, while strengthening problem-solving skills, confidence and independent learning.
