About Fernando
I am Fernando, a Mechanical Engineer. After several years working in different fields and trying different things, I have realized, without a doubt, that one of the things I am best at is teaching. I remember how in my university days when I finally could understand an idea explained in class but a classmate of mine did not I put myself with him to explain it to him and in most cases I managed to make him finally understand the subject in question, and it was something that also I did with pleasure. It came naturally to me.
I have come to the conclusion, therefore, that my ideal situation would be to make a living from teaching, since on the one hand it is something that I consider I am good at and on the other because it also helps me to keep and increase my knowledge in my areas of interest.

Types of methodology proposed (to be chosen by the students):
Method 1 (available now):
The idea is the students solve any problem they have about the matter in class. Since the goal of the majority of students is to pass the course at school, I will go to the point, that is, I will give tricks that help students gaining skills in performing the exercises, since in the exams time is limited, as well as the time the students would have to acquire the knowledge to achieve that goal. Sessions here will be live.
Method 2 (still in progress):
However, if students wish, the possibility of a more detailed teaching of the subject in question is also contemplated (this applies especially to the areas of algebra and calculus, which is where I have the most knowledge). This is most advisable if the student simply wants to acquire a deeper knowledge of the matter and does not have the pressure of exams. In this case, the classes would be intended not only to resolve doubts but also a more structured syllabus would be taught. Sessions here will be recorded but with the possibility to have virtual meetings to solve any problem or doubts. In this method, students have the possibility to follow the sessions at their own pace.
Other aspects:
Modality: online (through Skype)
Small groups: for Method 1, maximum 4 people per group for now to guarantee adequate
attention to each student
Prices: first class free. For the others
1 student--> €10/h per student
2 students--> €7/h per student
3 students--> €5.50/h per student
4 students--> €4.50/h per student
Duration of each class: in Method 1, between an hour and an hour and a half (it could vary depending on the needs of the students).
The groups (for Method 1 only), if they have more than one student, will be made up of students who are in the same course (students from different courses will not be mixed in the same group). In this way, everything that is explained throughout the class will be useful for all attendees.
In the case the student chose Method 2, the prices of the class would be 3.75€/h (3.75€/class since in each class would last around 1 hour), with the first session free. For more information about the content and the structure of the course feel free to contact me
