I have won creative writing competitions and enter them regularly. I have been a teaching assistant twice for grade 2 and grade 4. I am also used to teaching younger children due to helping my brother, and all his friends.

I normally approach the topic by seeing what the child understands and doesn't understand, then I get the child to explain why they understand one section and not the other. I prefer to teach visually as that is how most children learn and understand. However if that doesn't work for the child I'll use another method.
