About Min Lai
Hi! I’m an experienced Maths tutor with a strong background in GCSE and Functional Skills Maths (Entry Level to Level 2). I currently work in education as a teaching assistant and Maths tutor, supporting KS3–KS4 students — including those with SEND, low confidence, and learning gaps. I have two years of experience working 1:1 with a visually impaired student, which has strengthened my ability to deliver clear, adaptive, and accessible teaching. I also study Maths at university, which helps me bring strong subject knowledge and up-to-date methods into every lesson. I’m passionate about helping students who feel “stuck” or unsure in Maths. My teaching style is calm, patient, and structured, making challenging topics easier to understand. I focus on building confidence, strengthening core skills, and helping students make real, measurable progress. As someone who has worked closely with students of all abilities, I know how to tailor sessions to individual needs and learning styles. My goal is always the same: to help every learner feel capable, supported, and ready to succeed.
