About Freya
I have loved mathematics since childhood, which inspired me to earn a B.Sc in Mathematics Education and dedicate nine years to teaching learners across various levels. My focus is on fostering understanding, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for mathematics. I enjoy helping students develop logical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a structured and encouraging environment. Throughout my teaching career, I have guided learners through elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math preparation. I adapt lessons to individual learning styles, incorporating practical examples, visual aids, and interactive exercises. Many students initially feel uncertain, and I help them gradually gain mastery, confidence, and enthusiasm for mathematics. Outside teaching, I explore creative exercises, real-life applications, and problem-solving strategies to enrich lessons. I integrate these experiences to make learning engaging, practical, and relevant. Each session is approached with patience, encouragement, and professionalism, helping students grow academically and personally while cultivating a lasting love for mathematics.

My Maths lessons begin with elementary school math, including number operations, fractions, decimals, and basic problem-solving. Step-by-step guidance, interactive exercises, and visual aids help learners build confidence and develop a solid foundation. Early lessons emphasize logical thinking, curiosity, and structured understanding of mathematical concepts.
As learners progress into middle school math, we explore expressions, equations, ratios, coordinate grids, and geometry. Structured practice and guided problem-solving strengthen analytical skills, reasoning, and conceptual understanding. I emphasize understanding principles deeply rather than memorization, preparing students for higher-level algebra, complex geometry challenges, and standardized tests like SAT math. Real-life examples make math engaging and applicable.
For advanced learners and exam preparation, lessons cover algebra, advanced geometry, word problems, and SAT math strategies. Students practice multi-step problems, develop critical thinking, and apply formulas accurately. Timed exercises and problem-solving tasks build mastery, confidence, and competence. My goal is to equip learners with strong academic skills and real-world problem-solving abilities.
