About Mia-Lana
My name is Mia-Lana and I am a BMus music student at UCT.
I received 89% for my music final at the end of matric and am now taking both Music Theory and Analysis and Aural at second year university level.
I am passionate about music therapy music education, singing, playing piano and arranging.

My theory lessons include:
- teaching beginner, basic music theory from the very beginning
- if you are more advanced, finding out what your struggles and weak points are and working on those
- to better understand music theory to incorporate in your own music making
- to prepare for tests and exams
- to practice concepts like note names, intervals or four-part harmony
My Aural lessons include:
- teaching you how to listen to music while using music theory knowledge
- hearing chord progressions
- being able to indentify intervals
by ear
- training your inner ear by working on sight singing
- learning to hear music and then write it down (dictation)
