About Leon
In Year 9, seeking a better education, I moved to a top UK independent school. As I was in the top sets for most subjects at Winchester College, I was shocked by the difference in teaching quality between state and public schools.
During my four and a half years at this school, I have learned fantastic teaching methods from top academics and Oxbridge graduates, and have not touched a textbook during my GCSE and A Level courses. This allowed me to get accepted to one of the most competitive university courses in the UK.
I want to pass that on to other keen pupils, who will hopefully also attend a prestigious course in the future. I will guarantee that I tailor each lesson to tend to the pupil's weaknesses and dedicate as many hours as possible to prepare for lessons so that the pupil is successful.

I use a problem based approach in Teaching.
After introducing pupils to subjects, they will complete problems of increasing difficulty with my help. Depending on the topic, within a few lessons they can usually solve even the most difficult A Level questions on that Topic
Typical lesson length is 60 minutes. The marginal utility past that point tends to be very low.
During my time at Winchester College, I have prepared many pupils for public and non-public exams. I was also appointed the head of the Computer Science Society.
My lessons are for any pupils from Year 9 to Year 13 preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, and Admission Tests, specifically the TMUA, MAT, STEP 2

Perfect! Leon has been an incredible help in my maths preparation. From guiding me through the intricacies of past papers to highlighting the solutions to common errors, I have certainly received holistic support. I would thoroughly recommend Leon to anyone needing help with maths.
Perfect! Really detailed and organised. Looking forward to many more great sessions.
- Joshua was keen and interested in these topics. While there is a lot of ground to cover in the next few months, Joshua will undoubtedly succeed if he shows the commitment that he promised me.Leon's response :

Leon taught me maths for both GCSE and A Level. Without his diligent tutoring, I would not have received great results in either of them. A hard worker and a fantastic teacher!
Leon is a kind and understanding teacher who helped me through both my A levels and STEP with his kind and patient support. Though at times I struggled to make connections that were critical to understanding certain questions, Leon always calmly explained them to me until I understood.
Leon is a hardworking individual that makes a very capable tutor. He prepared me very well for GCSE maths and Physics and allowed me to successfully achieve a nine grade
Leon was extremely helpful to me for my GCSE maths. Without him I would not have received a grade 9 for certain. He is extremely patient, clear and has helped me understand the areas I struggled most with. I could not recommend him enough!
