About Akash
Hello dear students,
I am Dr. Akash, and I'll be guiding you through this course. Before we embark on this academic journey together, I'd like to share a bit about myself so you can get to know me better.
I am an International Medical Graduate, which means I've had the privilege of experiencing medical education and practices from different parts of the world. This diverse exposure has enriched my understanding of medicine, and I hope to bring these varied perspectives into our classroom.
In addition to my medical background, I am also pursuing a Master's in Public Health. This has given me a holistic view of healthcare, emphasizing not just the treatment but also the prevention of diseases. I believe that understanding the broader context of health, including social determinants and community aspects, is crucial for any medical professional.
My dual background in medicine and public health allows me to bridge the gap between individual patient care and population health. I am passionate about integrating these two fields, and I hope to instill in you the importance of looking at health from both micro and macro perspectives.
