About Joshua
Being a Mathematics student at one of the top Universities in the UK, I know the struggles of initial understanding the logic and problem-solving behind Mathematics. I wish I had a tutor for my A-Levels and always saw those who had access to them pick up topics so much faster than I could, but I was determined and put in the extra-curricular work to smash my grades, and I want to not only tutor you in Mathematics, but tutor you in excelling in your education. I want to deliver the affordable, flexible tutoring I could never have. I like to consider myself very social and easy to get along with, and am a great listener, I know everyone doesn't understand things the first time, but I will endeavour to make sure you get there and give you all the time and explanation you need to fully understand a topic, not just how to get the marks, but how to understand the maths.

My teaching ideology for Mathematics is that being one of the hardest STEM subjects, practice is critical, hence, I will assign tasks, and ensure that you have sufficient training to not only understand the logic behind a topic but also develop the ability to conquer whatever variation of a question is thrown at you. I want to disregard the physical distance between me and my students and deliver affordable, flexible online tutoring sessions to students around the UK that are equivalent to working together in a classroom. I tutor GCSE and A-Level Mathematics to anyone of any age, regardless of prior experience. I have always excelled in Mathematics, with 8-9s in all my GCSEs and A*A*A*A at A-Level with A*s in Mathematics and Further Mathematics as well as being a current Mathematics student at the prestigious Durham University.
