About Darrel
Hi, I’m a dedicated and experienced tutor teaching Mathematics, supporting students at GCSE and A-level.
I hold a First-Class degree in Economics - Most of my degree being intense mathematical and statistical practice and applying these methods to real world applications. My dissertation was published by the University of Kent. Professionally, I have over five years of experience working as an economist within government, where I’ve applied econometrics to real-world policy and data analysis. I am currently furthering my expertise by undertaking a Master’s in Economics at Queen Mary University of London.
In addition to tutoring, I have delivered presentations in schools and at careers events, helping students understand both the subject and the wide range of opportunities available in economics-related fields. I pride myself on being approachable, well-prepared, and committed to delivering high-quality, structured lessons tailored to each student’s needs.

My teaching style is relaxed and supportive—I don’t believe in making students feel pressured or interrogated. Instead, I aim to create a safe, enjoyable environment where you can build confidence while still working hard towards your target grade.
