About Isabel
My interest in mathematics began with observing patterns, relationships, and logical structures in everyday life. This passion led me to earn a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, which provided a strong foundation in both theory and analytical practice. Over 10 years, I have guided learners across levels, helping them strengthen conceptual understanding, reasoning skills, and confidence in problem-solving.
I use a student-focused teaching approach that combines visual explanations, stepwise problem-solving, interactive exercises, and practical examples. I encourage learners to ask questions, explore multiple approaches, and develop independent analytical thinking. My teaching emphasizes clarity, engagement, and curiosity, fostering both mastery and intellectual growth.
Outside the classroom, I engage in applied mathematics projects, research initiatives, and analytical problem-solving exercises. Witnessing students grow from uncertainty to confidence, achieving both clarity and competence, is immensely rewarding. Supporting learners to become capable, thoughtful, and confident mathematicians is the core aim of my teaching.
