About Aarav
My journey in Mathematics began with an early fascination with patterns, logic, and problem-solving. This curiosity led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I gained a deep understanding of mathematical theory and applications. Over 10 years of teaching experience, I have guided students ranging from elementary school math learners to those preparing for SAT math and Calculus exams. My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students develop conceptual clarity, confidence, and independent reasoning, creating a foundation that supports both academic achievement and lifelong critical thinking. I emphasize adaptability and empathy in my teaching approach. I carefully observe how each student thinks and tailor explanations to their cognitive style. By using stepwise reasoning, visualizations, and real-world examples, I make abstract concepts like geometry, algebra, and Calculus tangible and understandable. I encourage questions, exploration, and learning from mistakes, fostering a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered to grow and experiment. Outside the classroom, I actively engage with mathematics through research, problem-solving, and curriculum development. This allows me to incorporate innovative approaches and practical applications into my lessons. Teaching mathematics is profoundly rewarding because I witness students progress from uncertainty to confidence, developing not only their academic skills but also resilience, focus, and independent thinking. Observing learners apply their knowledge to complex problems reinforces my dedication and passion for nurturing the next generation of mathematically confident students.

Lesson structure is tailored to the learner’s current level. Younger students strengthen number sense, arithmetic skills, and logical reasoning through elementary school math. Middle-level learners focus on algebraic thinking, proportional reasoning, and geometry visualization common in middle school math. Advanced learners explore algebraic structures, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus concepts with attention to accuracy, methodical thinking, and problem-solving efficiency. Guided practice, independent exercises, and feedback form a core part of each lesson to reinforce learning.
