About Hazel
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and have 8 years of experience teaching students at various academic levels. My teaching emphasizes clarity, structured guidance, and conceptual understanding. I focus on making abstract mathematical ideas approachable, relevant, and engaging.
Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s pace, interests, and skill level. Beginners build strong foundational skills, while advanced learners refine analytical thinking and problem-solving strategies. I encourage curiosity, independent thought, and active participation to foster intellectual growth and confidence in mathematics.
Outside teaching, I explore applications of mathematics in science, technology, and engineering. Integrating real-world examples into lessons helps students see the relevance and excitement of mathematics. Watching learners progress from hesitation to mastery, gaining both competence and confidence, is the most fulfilling part of my work.
