About Cleo
I have 9 years of experience teaching mathematics to students from high school to university preparatory programmes. I hold an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics and Computational Analysis, which has provided deep expertise in advanced mathematical theory, modelling, and problem-solving techniques. This foundation allows me to convey both conceptual depth and practical application with clarity.
My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, adaptability, and encouragement. I create a supportive environment where learners can ask questions freely, explore concepts thoroughly, and develop confidence in their reasoning abilities. Lessons include step-by-step problem-solving, visual aids, and applied examples to ensure concepts are internalised.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged with mathematics through research, computational modelling projects, and exploring new problem-solving methods. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding because I witness students transform uncertainty into confidence and curiosity. Supporting their intellectual growth and logical development is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Mathematics is most meaningful when students can relate abstract concepts to real-world problems. My lessons cover algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, and applied mathematical modelling with a strong emphasis on conceptual clarity and practical application. Each session is designed to encourage curiosity, logical reasoning, and confidence in tackling numerical and theoretical challenges. Students are supported to understand why a concept works, not just how, fostering a deeper appreciation for the discipline.
Lesson structure is tailored to the learner’s proficiency. Beginners focus on arithmetic, fundamental algebra, and basic geometric reasoning. Intermediate learners study functions, trigonometry, introductory calculus, and problem-solving strategies. Advanced learners explore multivariable calculus, differential equations, and applied modelling techniques. Each session integrates exercises, illustrative examples, and guided discussions to reinforce comprehension and build mathematical agility.
